After a two year hiatus, I am thrilled to announce the return of in person Open Studios at Hunter’s Point Shipyard Artist Studios, the largest artist community in the country. Over 100 artists will open their studio doors to the public on Saturday, October 23rd and Sunday October 24th from 11AM-6PM. The event is free (no admission fee), and there is ample free parking onsite with easy access to all six Shipyard Artist buildings, as well as local food vendors and music. Well behaved children and pets welcome. The Shipyard is open to the public just twice a year for artist events! Masks required. Some artists may require proof of vaccination or negative covid test for studio visit. Registration on Eventbrite is recommended but not required.

Be sure to stop by the newly renovated Bayview Opera House on Thursday, October 7th from 6PM-9PM for the Shipyard Artists Exhibition. The show will include examples of work by artists participating in the Shipyard Open Studios, all in one place. There will be an outdoor bar with refreshments from local vendors and live music - stop by anytime and meet the artists!
